Belles Rives Ski Nautique is part of the elegant Hôtel Belles Rives overlooking Golfe-Juan Bay and close to Port Gallice Marina. The water ski school is particularly special as it is where the first ever Worldwide Water Ski Championships took place in 1949. Water skiing was actually invented in this bay in 1932 using heavy wooden snow skis towed behind a speed boat. It led to the birth of the Juan-les-Pins Water Ski Club.
